Ecuador's Minister of the Environment, Gustavo Rafael Manrique Miranda, will attend the UN international climate and environment week in Stockholm, May 30 – June 5 2022. In conjunction with the visit, the minister has been invited by Olle Appelgren, CEO of RWMT as well as founder of IMO OCEANUM, to pay a visit to one of the Swedish Sea Rescue Society's stations.
The purpose of the visit is to inform the minister about the Sea Rescue Society's successful work in saving lives and protecting the environment from oil spills. He will also receive a presentation of Swedish company Baltic lifejackets and Imo Ocenanum's project to donate lifejackets to children in the Galapágos.
The visit will be a follow-up to the previous meeting in between Olle Appelgren and Gustavo Rafael Manrique Miranda in Ecuador earlier this year.
Update: Due to scheduling conflicts, the meeting in Stockholm was postponed to a later date. The minister has instead received information in writing about Imo Oceanum's projects and is looking forward to further discussions.
